Diagnostic & therapeutic procedures

• Among the most common diagnostic procedures carried out are: coronarography, studies of patients with valvulopathy, congenital heart disease in adults, transseptal catheterisation and endomyocardial biopsy.


• Among the most frequent therapeutic procedures are coronary artery angioplasty and aortocoronary bypass, valvuloplasty, atrial septal defect (ASD) closure, closure of patent foramen ovale (PFO), closure of interventricular communication, angioplasty with or without stenting for aortic coarctation and closure of periprosthetic leaks. The percutaneous implantation of aortic prosthesis in high-risk surgical patients is especially significant as this is the first non-state-assisted private hospital in the country to carry out this procedure.
