Dr. Fernández Pastor gained her degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Malaga in 2003. She carried out her MIR residency programme in the Virgen de la Victoria University Hospital of Malaga, where she obtained her qualification as Specialist in Cardiology. She is a member of the Sociedad Española de Cardiología, the European Society of Cardiology and the European Heart Rhythm Association.

After completing her period as a resident, her professional focus became the field of electrophysiology, as a member of the Arrhythmia Unit at Virgen de la Victoria and Xanit International Hospitals, where she has carried out advanced device implant procedures and new techniques in the study and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias.

In the field of research, she has been actively involved in several clinical trials undertaken by the Unit, contributed to publications for specialist journals, and presented papers at both national and international conferences.
